After Image is a short animation by Sonnenzimmer exploring inner image, isolation, and self reflection. Created during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020, the work aims to tap into the emotional reverberation of the now common activity, the daily walk.

Daily Walk

Last week I went on a walk.
and I a saw this  🐶
It was smaller then any 🐶 I had ever seen,
and it was raining.
I didn’t bring an 🌂.
I could hardly see the 🐶 through the rain.
Why was the 🐶 alone.
Just then it turned a corner.
I followed the 🐶 around the corner.
I didn’t see it anywhere.
“           ”, I said to the 🐶.
It looked even smaller up close.
We are not so different, I thought.
I closed my 👁👁 and pictured a mirror.
You try it. 
Close your 👁👁 and picture a mirror.
Do you 👀 your own reflection in it?
