Cultural events that require groups to gather have all been postponed or flat out cancelled in Chicagoland. That doesn’t mean events aren’t a thing anymore, they’re just… different.

The Quarantine Times will be helping get the word out about Chicago-produced virtual events. If you would like us to spread the news about a remote event that is free to “attend,” please tells us about it in an email to hello@quarantinetimes.org.

Chicago Events:

The Chicago Reader’s list of streaming events is one of the most comprehensive in the city.

The Visualist: Chicago’s premier visual arts listing has been covering the exhibitions and openings that have been cancelled and postponed. Now, they are also beginning to highlight a few online events. 

The Visualist Weekly Top 5 is always a good way to plan your weekend out. For the crisis, they will list remote events and art resources.

Arts Alliance Illinois: AAI is taking submissions for an Artist Content Platform, which is still being set up at the time this writing (March 25, 2020).

Chicago Gallery News: The CGN events calendar includes online events.
