We are all stuck in a holding pattern of frustrated fate~ I read somewhere that we should look to the bees for ways to weather an epidemic~ in this case I would say rather that we should look to the bats 🦇
Manal Kara is a Moroccan-American self-taught artist and poet based in Gary, IN and Chicago, IL. They have exhibited work extensively in Chicago and New York and across the United States, as well as internationally in Istanbul, Vienna, and Berlin. Recent solo exhibitions include Song of the Other Worm at Prairie, Chicago, IL and Tearassin’ Like a Slug Outta Heaven at Basketshop in Cincinnati, OH. They have participated in residencies at ACRE, Ox-Bow, and the September Spring interdisciplinary poetry workshop at the Kesey Farm. They are looking forward to a residency at the American Institute of Thoughts and Feelings this fall.
