Artadia is a national non-profit organization that identifies innovative visual artists and supports them with unrestricted financial awards and connections to a network of opportunities.

The Artadia Award is an unrestricted grant of $10,000 that is offered to visual artists in six cities across the country, including Chicago. The application for the Chicago Artadia Awards has just been launched. Learn more about Artadia here ; the application can be found here.

The Chicago Artadia Awards are open to all visual artists living and working throughout Cook County, IL. Individual artists and collaboratives working in all media and at any stage in their career are strongly encouraged to apply. Artadia Awardees are selected through a two-tier jury process that combines local expertise with outside perspective from leading curators and artists. A preliminary panel will evaluate all online submissions and select five finalists in June. A second panel will conduct studio visits with each finalist, gaining a broader context for the artists’ work.

Two awardees will be selected from the finalist pool to receive unrestricted awards of $10,000 each. The 2020 Chicago Awardees will be announced in early July. Prior Chicago Artadia Awardees may be viewed on the Artadia Artist Registry.

The Chicago Artadia Awards are:
- Open to anyone living in Cook County, IL
- Free of application fees and project outline requirements
- Unrestricted

Apply if you:
